Margarita

The Margarita is one of the world’s most iconic cocktails, though its exact origins remain disputed. Most stories place its creation in Mexico during the 1930s or 1940s, with several bartenders and socialites credited with its invention. The classic recipe combines tequila, fresh lime juice, and orange liqueur, often served in a glass with a salted rim. Its popularity grew rapidly in the United States during the mid-20th century, and today the Margarita remains a defining cocktail of Mexican-inspired drinking culture, enjoyed in countless variations around the world.
